OPEL SKYLINERS sign Top-Talent Raphael Török

The OPEL SKYLINERS are glad to announce that Raphael Török, U20 National player for Israel, will join the roster for the new BBL season. The 20 year old Guard has signed a three year contract with the club.

Török, who was born on August 19th 1982 in Bad Homburg and has a German passport, will play as a double-licence player for both OPEL SKYLINERS and its partner team MTV Kronberg in the German Regionalliga.

As a Basketball Academy Rhein-Main player Török will get special support.

Török is a versatile talent, better known in Europe under his Hebrew name Toren. He can play as a Point Guard, Shooting Guard and Small Forward. His last team was Hapoel Haifa/Ramat Hasharon in the Israelian Premier League.

OPEL SKYLINERS General Manager Dr. Gunnar Wöbke: "Raphael is a young player with a lot of potential. As a double-licence player he can get some experience in Kronberg. We will see, how he performs in Kronberg and how important he can be for the OPEL SKYLINERS in the upcoming season. We are glad to have signed another promising Basketball Academy Rhein-Main player. Playmaker Talents like Raphael with a german passport are hard to find."

OPEL SKYLINERS Headcoach Gordon Herbert: "Raphael showed his potential in some workouts with us. He could develop into a great Point Guard."

Raphael Török: "The OPEL SKYLINERS are giving me the chance to develop myself and collect experience on the court. I hope, that I can help the team to reach its goals in the Championship and the ULEB Cup."
